Terms of Service

§ 1. General Provisions

  1. These Terms of Service ('Regulations') govern the use of the services provided by NovaSphere Media Group Inc. ('Service Provider') via the online platform located at novasphere.media ('Platform').
  2. By accessing or using the Platform, you ('User') agree to be bound by these Regulations. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform.
  3. The Service Provider reserves the right to amend these Regulations at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Regulations.
  4. The content provided on the Platform, including articles, images, and trademarks, is the property of the Service Provider or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

§ 2. Definitions

  • Platform – The online news portal and services available at the domain novasphere.media.
  • User – Any natural person or legal entity using the Platform, whether as a guest or a registered user with an account.
  • Account – A personalized profile created by a User upon registration, allowing access to specific features of the Platform.
  • Services – All services provided electronically by the Service Provider, including access to articles, newsletters, and user accounts.
  • Regulations – This document, the Terms of Service, which defines the rights and obligations of the User and Service Provider.

§ 3. Type and Scope of Services Provided

  1. The Platform provides access to journalistic content, including news, articles, analyses, and interviews in the fields of science and technology. Some content may be available for free, while access to premium content requires a paid subscription.
  2. Users can register for an Account to manage their subscriptions, comment on articles, and subscribe to newsletters. Registration is free of charge.
  3. Paid subscription plans grant the User access to exclusive content as described in the pricing section of the Platform for the duration of the subscription period.
  4. The Service Provider is not responsible for any interruptions in service due to technical issues beyond its control or necessary maintenance work.

§ 4. Technical Requirements

  1. To use the Platform, the User must have a device with internet access and a modern web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with JavaScript and cookies enabled.
  2. The User is responsible for ensuring their equipment and software meet these requirements at their own expense.
  3. The Service Provider is not liable for any issues arising from the User's failure to meet these technical requirements.

§ 5. Rights and Obligations of the User

  1. The User agrees to use the Platform in accordance with applicable laws and these Regulations. The User must provide accurate and current information during registration.
  2. The User is prohibited from distributing illegal content, engaging in spamming, or undertaking any actions that could disrupt the functioning of the Platform.
  3. Content on the Platform is for personal, non-commercial use only, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The User may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the content without explicit permission from the Service Provider.
  4. The User is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account password and for all activities that occur under their account.
  5. The User may terminate their account at any time. Paid subscriptions are subject to the cancellation policy detailed at the time of purchase.

§ 6. Final Provisions

  1. Any disputes arising from the provision of services under these Regulations shall be governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada. The courts of Montreal shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
  2. If any provision of these Regulations is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be in full force and effect.
  3. For matters not covered by these Regulations, the relevant provisions of Canadian law shall apply.
